Biztech Systems Engineering is responsible for supporting the hosting environment of internal staff and applications, all build and configuration management needed to support that environment at scale. The team architects, builds, operationalizes and provides advanced support for the varied platforms in use. This role maintains tools and services that support the hosting and operations such as repository, configuration management and CI/CD.  We’re looking for someone who is comfortable with multiple platforms and can design and maintain infrastructure through code. 
 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a world class Systems Engineering tooling infrastructure. Plan updates, configuration improvements, work with vendors improve and advance the capability of the services.  Develop future roadmaps. 
  • Respond to 3rd Tier operational and security vulnerability issues and incidents as they arise. 
  • Design, code and execute both internal and stakeholder projects, continuously improving systems and operations ‘ilities’ (i.e. reliability, maintainability, etc).
  • Document systems and services, develop runbooks and train others in maintaining and developing systems through code.
     

Requirements:

  • You are an expert in infrastructure provisioning and management.
  • Are familiar with at least the following platforms: AWS, GCP, and VMWare
  • You are an expert in infrastructure provisioning and management.
  • Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet: one or more of these tools should be core to your current workflow. 
  • Are familiar with Virtualization and Containerization 
  • A broad capability in managing and supporting Linux and Windows Operating systems and their infrastructure. 
  • Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines.
  • Know one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: Python, JavaScript, Ruby, or Go.
  • You contribute to Open Source -- your public Git repos/contributions show good examples of giving back to the community.
