Systems Analyst

An opportunity has arisen for a System Analysts position. Reporting to the Senior Systems Analyst, the role is focused on the design and delivery of Glanbia Ireland’s Internally developed applications. A key deliverable is enhancing the capability of this Strategic platform to meet the business requirements in a complex and fast-paced environment. The role will be responsible for drafting technical design specifications and liaising with the Glanbia Business Services technical teams for development whilst adhering to Glanbia’s internal compliance standards and external regulatory requirements.

 

Key Responsibilities;

  • Compiling technical specifications for system solutions to meet GI’s business requirements.
  • Work with business stakeholders including management to extract requirements and ensure they are adequately defined from a business, technical and operational perspective.
  • Liaise with Glanbia Business Services Development to ensure developments are designed and delivered to the required standards.
  • Liaise with technical support team to ensure necessary infrastructure changes which may be required to facilitate system development / changes are considered.
  • Support the continuation of the design principle of system integration with Glanbia Co-Op and Glanbia plc.
  • Scenario test all system developments before handing over to the business for user acceptance testing.
  • Ensure the robustness and agility of the data model for our Farmer Customer and Supplier information is maintained when defining any system enhancements.
  • Participant in projects to enhance the internally developed platforms.
  • Act as an escalation point for business impacting support issues.
  • Ensure the systems are accurately documented in line with Group standards.
  • Ensure systems are developed to the relevant Glanbia and industry standards.
  • Identify areas of improvement and review with the business and the Senior Systems Analyst
  • Oracle Database, Forms/Reports experience mandatory
  • Minimum 6 years experience in a development role or in a combination of development and analyst roles.
  • Knowledge of Agricultural industry would be beneficial but not essential
  • Data modelling experience would be beneficial
  • Track record in working with stakeholders at various levels of the organisation.
  • Proven experience working on IT projects that have gone through the full project lifecycle; from scoping, development, implementation and benefits review
