We currently have an exciting opening for a qualified Computer Engineering with 5+ years in software development work on our client’s manufacturing facility in Galway. The successful candidate will help the equipment engineering department to develop new manufacturing and test equipment and systems used in the development and production of medical devices. Develops specifications, designs, plans and develops complex manufacturing and test equipment. And will have a complete understanding and wide application of principle, theories, and concepts in the field with the ability to apply a full understanding of area of specialization to resolve a wide range of issues in creative ways.

What you will bedoing:
- Creating robust, flexible, reusable, efficient and scalable manufacturing applications.
- Designing Database, development, monitoring and SQL script authoring.
- Commissioning, testing, troubleshooting and supporting existing and new manufacturing equipment.
- Working closely with customers in defining system requirements and propose creative and cost-effectivesolutions.
- Writing detailed functional design requirements.
- Adding value to all phases of software development including design, implementation, unit test, integration, release and validation support.
- Creating quotations, concepts and business cases for new and upgrade equipment.
- Developing detailed project plans and manage projects to completion.
- Providing software input on design changes for new and existing systems aligning machine functionality to customer requirements.
- Building Quality into all aspects of work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements.
- Actively focusing on Continuous Improvement through participation in Value Improvement Projects and Lean Business Process Projects as well as departmental standards.
- Making sure that equipment solutions are delivered within planned schedules and within budget.
- Offering technical leadership on equipment related product and process issues.
- Working with a number of engineers.
- Driving innovation and integration of new technologies into development strategies for the software team.
- Creating solutions to a variety of complex problems of diverse scope and complexity where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
- Exercising authority and judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
- Planning and Organization, plans and organizes non-routine tasks w/approval. Initiates or maintains work schedule and priorities. Plans and organizes project assignments and maintains project schedules.
- Making an impact by contributing to the completion of specific programs and projects in a timely manner.
- Acting as prime contact on contracts or projects.
- Mentoring, taking part in the development of less experienced staff by setting an example, providing guidance, and offering counsel.
- Maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.
- Masters or Bachelors of Science in Computer Engineering or related discipline.
- Knowledge of a regulated environment with 21CFR Part 11 experience an advantage.
- 5+ years in software development with experience and a thorough knowledge in the following: VB.Net, C#, VB 6, SQL Server, software testing, version and change management software.
- Working knowledge of Team Foundation server and associated build processes.
- Machine or device control design experience.
- Decent working knowledge on the use of vision systems and associated tools desirable.
- SQL Server Reporting Services, web application development, HTML, JavaScript, WPF desirable.
- Experience in Automation Testing with strong knowledge of testing lifecycle and principles.
- Brilliant communication skills combined with an imaginative and creative approach to problem solving.
- Strong Business Relationships skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with good multitasking and prioritization skills.
