As a Software Development Engineer on the Enterprise Frameworks - Org Engineering team you will be working with a great team of developers across Pleasanton, Munich and Dublin to design and develop features that deliver value to Workdays 3000+ customers .Org Engineering team is responsible for one of the foundational frameworks that enables hiring people, assigning them to various roles, managing headcount and budgets via cost centers and enables workday customers across all applications to effectively run their organisations.
What you'll do:
- Design components and APIs for cross functional application teams
- Analyse and assess impacts of our API's & features on Workday's flagship products
- Be part of a dynamic & fun agile team that is rearchitecting our core organisation framework
- Use UML tools to design and communicate our framework components
- Understand Workday Technology Architecture to solve challenging performance and scale problems
- Work with product management, support, and quality engineers on triaging customer escalations and bugs
- Contribute to process improvements to the success of the team
- Institute and adopt best engineering practices.
- Passion for software development and analytical thinking
- Ability to learn fast and fail forward
- 4+ years experience in OO enterprise software development preferably using Java/C++/C#.
- Aptitude for coding and designing APIs for performance, scalability and security
- Exposure to agile development methodologies
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- BS in Computer Science or related fields
