We currently have an exciting opening for a qualified Computer Engineering with 2+ years in software development work on our client’s manufacturing facility in Galway. If you have brilliant PC Build and troubleshooting skills this could be the job for you! The successful candidate will help R&D and operations on NPD and sustaining Programs by participating on the design, build, commissioning and qualification of new equipment as well as upgrades. Although predominately site-based traveling abroad may be required from time to time and for short periods.

What you will bedoing:
- Commissioning, testing, troubleshooting and supporting existing and new manufacturing equipment.
- Creating quotations, concepts and business cases for new and upgrade equipment.
- Making sure equipment requests are processed in a timely and effective fashion and manage execution of results.
- Organizing project schedules
- Collaborating with team and other departments across the plant to ensure adherence.
- Managing projects and/or portions of projects as part of a larger team.
- Drafting and reviewing design and compliance quality system documentation
- Developing robust, flexible, reusable, efficient and scalable manufacturing applications.
- Database design, development, monitoring and script authoring.
- Writing detailed functional design requirements.
- Adding value to all phases of software development including design, implementation, unit test, integration, release and validation support.
- Providing software input on design changes for new and existing systems aligning machine functionality to customer requirements
- Bachelors of Science in Computer Engineering or related discipline.
- PC Build and troubleshooting skills
- Rudimentary understanding of machine I/O.
- VB.Net, C# skills
- SQL Server script authoring experience using TSQL programming/Database Design.
- Visual Basic 6 skills
- Vision Development or experience would be ideal.
- Motion Control would be an advantage.
- Web application development.
- Software change management
