Our team is using cutting edge technologies like Kubernetes, Helm, AWS, Docker, Golang, and service mesh solutions. We are currently building a microservice architecture which allows us to deploy Workday in a zero down-time manner.
We are looking for a motivated engineer who is committed to Cloud Native principles to join us.
The right candidate will be able to drive Workday’s Public Cloud deployment platform development, understand other teams’ needs for the platform, discuss solutions with architects and business stakeholders, and mentor junior members of the team.

- Experience developing in a modern programming language (Golang, Ruby, Python, Java 8+, or Scala)
- Experience with running server orchestration solutions in production (Kubernetes, Mesos, Docker Swarm, or other solutions)
- Experience designing and building a microservice architecture
- Significant knowledge of Linux
- Ability to communicate effectively to different stakeholders (product management, team mates, external teams using our platform)
- Experience working in an Agile environment/ with Agile development methodologies
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
Desirables:
- Experience developing automation solutions
- Experience with a cloud platform: AWS (preferred), Azure, GCP
- Knowledge of Storage, Networking, Systems, configuration management
- Knowledge of best practices for Cloud Native infrastructure management and operations
- Knowledge of CI / CD principles and best practices
- Knowledge of Terraform
