Our future has never looked more exciting. And this is an incredible opportunity to be part of it. The world is ready for change. If you are too, join us.

The Connection Projects team is responsible for the delivery of electricity generation, demand and interconnection customer connections to the transmission system. This includes the delivery of transmission works for power generation and demand customer connections at distribution voltage levels.

The role involves facilitating the connection of new generation, demand and interconnection customers to the transmission system. It involves the project management of complex, large scale infrastructure projects – on-time and within budget, adhering to established governance and controls.  You  will work on projects across their entire life cycle – from project initiation, through construction and commissioning and right up to project close.

You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of complex, high high profile customer projects – working with some of the largest companies in the world to deliver grid connections to meet their needs.   As a Senior Lead Engineer, you will also support the development of high performance capabilities and behaviours within the team and provide direction and assistance to team members, junior staff and consultants.

We’ll also look to you to stay up to date with national and international developments in your area.  We need you to seek out ways to continuously improve the way we work to make it more efficient and effective as well as transparent and easy to understand for both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • You will have an engineering degree with 6 years relevant experience, with a holistic understanding of the power industry.
  • You will have proven experience of managing a portfolio of largescale projects.
  • Most importantly, you need strong interpersonal and team working skills; you need to work collaboratively with colleagues, and understand and manage customers and stakeholders expectations.
  •  As a senior member of the team you will be able to define and guide your own work and require minimal supervision.
