My Dublin City Centre based client is recruiting for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join the team on a permanent basis. This role will be remote working initially.

Job Responsibilities

– Develop & implement monitoring policies.

– Manage deployment settings.

– Enable rapid development through strong ongoing integration and deployment.

– Script / Automate central processes to improve the efficiency & availability of the platform.

– Debug incidents, escalate & follow up until resolution is achieved.

– Architect & manage Cloud environments

Experience Required

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in systems engineering, DevOps and support or development functions required
• Solid experience in Linux / Unix administration
• Expert in troubleshooting & managing Unix systems.
• Solid hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure technologies, including continuous integration tools like Jenkins, configuration management with Git, Chef or Ansible.
• Practical knowledge of code and scripts (Python, Node.js / Javascript, Powershell,Bash)
• Experience with Splunk or ElasticSearch an advantage

Essential and Desirable Skills

– Excellent knowledge of Continuous Integration & Continuous Delivery principles and methodologies.

– Experience with cloud platforms – AWS

– Good experience in Kubernetes, Docker etc.

– Experience in software development (preferably with .NET language)

– Solid knowledge of modern Configuration Management tools

– Proven experience in infrastructure provisioning tools and processes (Terraform, Packer)

– Systems & applications monitoring experience
