This is a great opportunity for an experienced candidate to join a fast paced, modern company. This role can be totally flexible with regards to office based or remote working going forward.
Some responsibilities will include:
- Manage SQL Server databases through multiple product life cycle environments.
- Ensure all database servers are backed up in a way that meets objectives.
- Test backups to ensure we can meet objectives.
- Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance.
- Apply data modelling techniques to ensure development and implementation support efforts meet expectations.
- Support cloud based BI Reporting systems and integrations.
- Independently analyse, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
- Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.
- Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement.
- 2+ years MS SQL Server Administration experience required.
- Knowledge of implementing Azure and latest SQL Server offerings on Azure.
- Experience of designing and implementing high availability and disaster recovery for SQL server infrastructure.
- Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization.
- Experience with GIT or similar source code repositories.
- Experience working with a Devops approach e.g. Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery.
- PowerShell scripting experience and scripting related to SQL Server.
- Experience with Containers for SQL Server Development.
