ITContracting are currently seeking applicants for a Senior Automation Tester. This is a permanent position based with our client in Dublin.
We are seeking an ambitious career tester with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in Test Automation. You will possess good and varied coding skills and a strong passion for learning. Client interaction experience is required, so you will possess excellent client engagement and communication skills and have experience of the full project lifecycle. Good analysis and problem-solving skills along with the ability to work under reasonable pressure is a must.
Responsibilities:
- Advising clients in Test Automation tool selection and architecture
- Using expertise in client proposal preparation
- Working directly with offshore Centre of Excellence in forming teams
- Interacting with and guiding onshore and offshore teams
- Developing and executing Automated Tests and Test frameworks
- Identifying and solving technical problems

Essential Skills
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Demonstrate experience of scripting skills with 1 or more languages (Java, C#, HTML, JavaScript)
- Proven experience in building and implementing 2 or more prominent test frameworks using tooling such as Selenium, BDD, Cucumber, Junit, GIT
- Experience in Mobile Test Automation using Appium
- Hands on experience of database script management using MS SQL Server / Ingres or other Relational Databases
- Proven ability of leading / coaching a team of automation engineers
- Understanding of Agile Automation Test frameworks and using tools to trigger tests e.g Jenkins
Desirable Skills
- Proven understanding of Web Architecture/frameworks
- Proven understanding of Service Oriented Architecture
- Detailed understanding of Agile and DevOps methodologies & concepts
- Has worked in highly automated CI/CD environment
- Strong leadership and communication skills
