Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Ensure that all aspects of the incoming inspection process are effectively completed
- Document the status of inspections and communicate results to suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Support Production & Quality activities to improve the overall Product Quality
- Carry out calibration of monitoring & measuring devices as required
- Prioritise and complete incoming inspection of material to support PPAP / NPD / ECO processes
- Conduct assigned internal audits
- Support inspection of sourcing project material
- Log supplier claims on sourcing navigator and complete material returns
- Support the Material Review Board with regular reviews of nonconforming material.
Education:
- Relevant third level qualification (preferably in a mechanical discipline) or equivalent technical apprenticeship, i.e. Toolmaker, Fitter, Mechanic
Experience:
- Minimum three years’ experience in a quality function
- Strong experience from a mechanical industry and assembly operations
Competence:
- Must be able to read and understand technical drawings
- Must be familiar with measurement tools e.g. Vernier’s / Micrometers / Height Gauges / Measurement arm etc.
- High degree of computer literacy including MS office / Google tools / LN
- Good understanding of Mechanics / Hydraulics / Electrics
- Team player with ability to work on own initiative
- Strong attention to detail.
