Quality Technician

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all aspects of the incoming inspection process are effectively completed
  • Document the status of inspections and communicate results to suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Support Production & Quality activities to improve the overall Product Quality
  • Carry out calibration of monitoring & measuring devices as required
  • Prioritise and complete incoming inspection of material to support PPAP / NPD / ECO processes
  • Conduct assigned internal audits
  • Support inspection of sourcing project material
  • Log supplier claims on sourcing navigator and complete material returns
  • Support the Material Review Board with regular reviews of nonconforming material.

Education:

  • Relevant third level qualification (preferably in a mechanical discipline) or equivalent technical apprenticeship, i.e. Toolmaker, Fitter, Mechanic

 

Experience:

  • Minimum three years’ experience in a quality function
  • Strong experience from a mechanical industry and assembly operations

 

Competence:

  • Must be able to read and understand technical drawings
  • Must be familiar with measurement tools e.g. Vernier’s / Micrometers / Height Gauges / Measurement arm etc.
  • High degree of computer literacy including MS office / Google tools / LN
  • Good understanding of Mechanics / Hydraulics / Electrics
  • Team player with ability to work on own initiative
  • Strong attention to detail.
