This is an outstanding opportunity for a self-motivated professional with multifaceted and intuitive leadership skills to be responsible for the Financials Global QA team specialising in tax accounting activities. The position will drive the planning, design and review of test specifications for products feature work we are developing, while promoting efficient processes across the team. As manager this individual will be directly involved in testing methodologies, while demonstrating a hands-on knowledge of Financial Enterprise Applications. You will continually empower the team to provide high business value for our customers by accelerating the delivery of our product features in an Agile environment while safeguarding the high quality our customers expect from Workday. About the Role
- Leads all aspects of a team of functional quality engineers for Financial Global products.
- Effectively lead and support the product area to deliver quality features to Workday customers.
- Ensure alignment and consistency with Quality Assurance policies and processes, in line with Workday’s Agile development methodology, TDD (Test Driven Development) and TCR (Test Case Repository).
- Participates in planning and grooming; while allocating and prioritising QA resources.
- Interacts with Product Management (PM) and Development managers aligned with team, on the timely delivery and testing of features, with a view to providing an optimum quality solutions for customers.
- Delivers regular quality status updates on development features as well as production support. This includes monitoring test configuration and data design.
- Anticipates and collaborates with other QA and Tools teams on the multi-functional impact of features.
- Ownership of the recruitment, on-boarding and mentoring of new team members.
- Continuously lead efforts in terms of training, objective setting, performance management, career progression, personal development and mentoring for all individuals.
- Demonstrate Workday values on Value Inclusion Belonging Equity (VIBE).
- BS degree in Computing, Business or Finance, or equivalent work experience.
- Confirmed 5 years proven experience leading teams in software Quality and testing methodologies.
- Minimum of 3 years functional knowledge in Financial Applications or ERP systems, with shown insight into Tax, Integrations, and financial reporting.
- Experience collaborating and building relationships with multi-functional teams – development, product management and other QA teams.
- The proven track record to lead a team efficiently when working with planned timelines across multiple projects while maintaining a balanced work environment.
