IT Helpdesk Engineer

A role has come available for a highly experienced individual, to join an expanding company in Galway as a level 2 IT Helpdesk Engineer.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Helpdesk Engineer to join a fast paced, modern company.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer support, all while reporting to the helpdesk manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Hands-on troubleshooting experience relating to Office PC's and server operating systems, Office 365 email, Printers, Network Software, Backup devices, internet connections etc.
  • Experience with Exchange 2016 and O365 setup and administration.
  • Experience in Active Directory and Citrix administration.
  • Experience in Server Level troubleshooting.
  • Backup Solutions experience such as VEEAM.
  • Experience troubleshooting phone systems and videoconferencing systems.
  • Working knowledge of networking concepts and technologies.
  • Escalate non-standard problems and work with other support parties.
  • Willing to travel across different sites as and when required.

Required Skills:

  • Third level Technical qualification preferred, or alternative.
  • Microsoft MCP or CompTIA A+ Networking qualification.
  • Min of 5 years IT support experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent technical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
