IT Delivery Leader – EMEALA Commercial

What you will do: 

  • Delivery Leads work with technical architects, project managers, and business partners to build solutions that meet requirements; they are the liaison between the delivery team and the project manager/program manager.
  • Their role includes managing delivery teams and liaising with the business/product owner in the development lifecycle.
  • The Commercial Application Delivery Leader for EMEALA will work across enterprise commercial platforms including Oracle CPQ, Salesforce CRM and Oracle ecommerce.

How you will do it: 

 

  • Provide technical leadership and innovation across specific aspects of solution delivery and development
  • Work with Project Managers to define the design, build, test and deployment elements of a project plan (e.g., project delivery tasks, milestones) and coordinate the alignment of dependencies within the project
  • Lead and manage technical delivery resources for a specific workstream
  • Lead and set standards for technical reviews, peer reviews, and feedback cycles
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to deliver projects in alignment with technical and business requirements
  • Resolve workstream-specific technical risks and issues identified by the Project Managers
  • Ensure knowledge transfer to application and infrastructure support teams
  • Prepare work and resource plans for each phase of the workstream in collaboration the Project Managers
  • Drive benefit realization and delivery of intended results in partnership with the project sponsors
  • Support Project Managers on mitigating risks, resolving issues, and escalating to Steering Group and Program Manager Sponsors as appropriate
  • Verify with Business Partners, Operations, and Information Security that the solution meets quality and performance requirements
  • Ensure all the right technical teams have been involved in the planning, design, development, execution and governance of the projects
  • Work with vendors and suppliers to evaluate options for solutions and services ensuring external requirements and features are incorporated into solution designs
  • Foster a culture of technical discipline, craftsmanship, and innovation
  • Drive continuous improvement of deliverables to meet Definition of Done (DoD)
  • Will assist Solution Delivery Leader in detailed level estimation as part of Initiate and Planning Phase as required
  • Provide end-to-end delivery services specifically for platforms, applications, services and tools for the relevant business areas
  • Accountable to the BU solution delivery lead to ensure the application delivery is aligned to the overall portfolio view of the BU solution delivery lead
  • Communicate with management and outside stakeholders to limit any uncontrolled expansion of work
  • Continuously publish and manage team performance metrics (e.g., burndown chart, velocity, capacity) in the Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tool e.g. Jira
  • Hold accountability for team’s commitments, and in cases of failure, communicate failure points, repercussions, and next steps to the ART
  • Drive continuous improvement and accountability amongst team members
  • Manage resolution of interpersonal conflicts and issues beyond the team’s authority to keep team focused on delivery to objectives.
  • Help manage the team backlog by guiding team to focus on priorities
  • Solid Experience as IT Solution Design/Architect, Technical Delivery Leader or similar
  • Demonstrable experience of managing development teams to deliver to time/cost/quality using established software development lifecycle menthologies and tools
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion and/or Configure Price Quote platforms and processes is highly desirable
