Ergo are seeking an IT Consultant for a permanent role in Cork. As an IT Consultant you will implement and support cloud and on-prem infrastructure solutions for a host of clients within a busy and rapidly expanding client.
As a client-facing Senior Engineer you will lead customer-engagement and new projects as part of a multi-national team.
You will work with the latest technology stack including Azure, Office 365 and Virtual Desktops.
Company vehicle provided if required.
What will you do?
- Lead client engagements
- Implement new IT projects
- Provide 3rd / 4th line expertise, guidance and support for a range of infrastructure solutions including cloud-based managed services, on-premise server solutions, backups and storage
- Support desktop applications including Microsoft 365
- Effective diagnosis & troubleshooting of server hardware, desktops, laptops, printers, and Microsoft desktop applications
- Installation and configuration of servers (physical and virtual). Desktops, laptops, and infrastructure hardware
- Experience of endpoint management
- Active Directory users and computers management
- Interaction with project teams to facilitate new systems and upgrades
- Apply information security in accordance with the established team policies, procedures and work instructions
- Maintain and develop professional skill set through ongoing certification
- Previous experience in a similar role (Systems Administrator, IT Engineer, Field Engineer, IT Consultant) ideally in an MSP or similar
- ITIL
- Microsoft stack including Microsoft365
- Virtual Desktop environments (desirable)
- Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy & Exchange administration
- Windows Server Admin from 2012 to 2019
- Working knowledge of Azure
- VMware ESXi & vSphere from 4.0 to 6.7 (desirable) / Hyper-V Virtualisation
- System Centre Endpoint Manager / Intune
- Professional certifications such as MCSA, CCNA, VCP, Azure, Office 365
