HR Business Partner

Working as an integral part of the People team, headquartered in Sydney, you will partner with the business in order to drive engagement, retention and high performance. As HRBP for support organisations in Ireland and US, this role will report to the HR & Operations Director for AMERs and EMEA and will work closely with regional HRBP colleagues.  

Provide strategic advice, guidance and support on operational HR issues, building capability through coaching and facilitation. Deliver the HR plan to engage our people and develop high performing teams.

As the HR Business Partner, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Partnering with Management to implement and execute people initiatives to drive a positive and engaged culture and drive high performance in line with Company Values
  • Implement global projects with a regional flavour and lead global HR projects as required
  • Proactively manage all employee relations issues. Maintain up to date knowledge of relevant legislative requirements relating to the employment and management of people within the region
  • Using business and people metrics to identify people management requirements, performance issues and trends, and establish credibility as a strategic HR expert within an operational service
  • Working in partnership with the Global HR team to ensure coordination in project / policy development
  • Support and reinforce implementation of performance management processes in region
  • Support delivery of the L&D agenda through identification of capability gaps, development of high potential employees and delivery of training in in accordance with the global L&D plan
  • Support Global HR to implement organisational change initiatives
  • Translating business strategy into operational activity focussing on driving high performance and engagement
  • Coaching, supporting, mentoring and challenging managers in the application of HR policies and practices, providing advice and guidance on complex HR issues in order to minimise risk
  • At least 7-10 years experience as an HR Business Partner, driving and executing people planning to drive high performance and employee engagement
  • Experience working within the Irish and US employment landscape
  • Ability to work across cultural and geographical boundaries and build HR approaches that deliver value across US & Irish markets
  • Interact, influence and collaborate across different cultures and time zones
  • Experience working in a fast paced technology driven environment. Confident constructively challenging diverse stakeholders
  • An enthusiastic team player with excellent self-management and interpersonal skills, and a strong drive to move the business forward
  • Thrive in ambiguous and high growth environments, and able to engage and drive value proactively
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel and strong analytical skills, ideally worked with Apple Mac and Google technologies
  • Comfortable working in a remote environment with quarterly visits to SiteMinder offices in Galway Ireland as required
