About the Team
The UI Platform team is looking for engineers that want to work and grow in a collaborative environment while helping to deliver value and features to our product each week. We are responsible for the UI layer that allows our Applications teams to build meaningful applications that have a similar look and feel, be that in our HCM, Financials, Learning or any other product. Our mission is to bring consumer-grade user experiences to the enterprise world, through the use of modern technologies spanning all layers of the software stack.

About the Role
This role as Software Engineer Front End is for the team that owns the frontend for Tables in Workday. Almost every single Application in Workday utilises the Tables component to show repetitive data and enable rich interactions with it, rendering an average of 1 billion rows per day. With that scale and the requirement of providing an outstanding user experience, this role will challenge you to think out of the box, being capable to understand the bigger picture and help shape it while writing and maintaining solid, robust, efficient and maintainable high quality code using frameworks and tools.

Writing and maintaining solid, robust, efficient and maintainable high quality code
Write reliable unit tests that will run on our CD pipeline.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver features in the core Workday products.
Build proof of concepts to help steer the development approach for features.
Understand and promote industry best practices.
Mentor and learn from other team members through pairing, code reviews, documenting code and our Freedom Fridays initiative.

You have a strong desire to learn and improve at your craft.
You’re very familiar with Javascript and React.
You have some experience in: Java, GWT, HTML 5, CSS/SCSS, Typescript and Cyprus.
