Enterprise Engineer

Job Goals/Expectations:

The Enterprise Engineer will be expected to:

  • Work day to day on Professional Service engagements, implementing solutions with Kemp products to solve customer issues
  • Assist pre-sales with regards to Professional Services as needed with proof of concepts, quoting, and installation of Kemp products
  • Provide dedicated technical support and troubleshooting expertise for large enterprise customers
  • Generate clear and concise internal/customer facing documentation

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for the success of Professional Service engagements by building and implementing technical solutions while forming trusted customer relationships
  • Be a technical advisor for different departments within Kemp (such as Sales and Support) and customers
  • Be a trusted advisor to Strategic customers
  • Become a thought leader across Kemp and the industry
  • Providing support and deep troubleshooting of customer issues
  • Provide invaluable guidance by documenting, designing, and planning small to large scale service packages and on-site installations
  • Installation deployments would include application protocols such as HTTP, SMTP, DNS, FTP and SNMP, and tools such as VMware, Xen, or Hyper-V virtualization environments

Be responsible for growing in areas of technical expertise that are required for a successful customer experience

Requirements

 

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • 5+ years’ experience in a network technology environment
  • 3+ years’ experience in supporting networking appliances including switches, routers, and firewalls
  • 3+ years’ experience of deploying and managing enterprise applications including Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint, and Skype for Business
  • In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, specifically TCP/IP
  • Proficiency with Windows and Linux Operating Systems
  • 3+ years’ experience of deploying and managing enterprise applications including Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint, and Skype for Business
  • Proven ability to demonstrate excellent troubleshooting, analysis, and creative problem-solving skills
  • Read, write, and speak English fluently, including technical concepts and terminology
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Must be able to collaborate with others and work well in a team
  • Proven ability to manage time effectively
  • Proven ability to relay technical information to customers with varying skill levels
