Engineering Manager

Keelvar is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead our Automation team.

The Automation team at Keelvar is dedicated to building AI-enabled Sourcing Bots. These intelligent agents automate the detailed workload of tactical buying, while using AI/ML to become more intelligent over time, freeing up our customers to be increasingly more agile, strategic, and creative. 

You will be leading a critical group responsible for building our category specific AI Bots. The team is a cross functional group including developers, data scientists, ML engineers, UI, QA and product designers.There is no question that automation will continue to transform procurement and the software industry in general. This is a great opportunity to lead the charge on these next-generation products.

What you will be doing

• You will be responsible for building and managing a cross functional team of 7 including 4 developers, data scientist, ML engineers and QA focused on building a category specific AI Bot
• You will work in partnership with a technical lead who will be focused on technical direction and technical mentorship for the team
• You will work to put in place the planning and delivery processes for the  team
• You will serve as a coach, mentor, and advocate for the engineers on your team
• You will work directly with the customers, pm, sales, marketing and cs to understand the domain, getting an in depth knowledge of the problem space and user personas
• You will work alongside product management to develop new Automation products and make improvements to our core platforms
• This role will work with other leaders within engineering to form the engineering management team at Keelvar, responsible for engineering strategies, employer brand, organisation structure, recruitment, product architecture, KPI’s and delivery across the portfolio.
• Your team will be responsible for creating intelligent agents and you will need to develop solutions that abstract away complexity via clean simple design while incorporating advanced technologies to create autonomous self learning operators.
• You will collaborate with other engineering teams to make effective use of our infrastructure and platforms, and also with other product teams that are building on our automations platform.
