As an Engineering Manager of the Market Insights project, you are part of a high performing team, building data-driven tech products that connect every part of the fashion industry.
You will join the team responsible for Zalando's Market Insights project and ramp up a new team for crawling and scraping competitor data. The Market Insights project involves: i) crawl and scrape over 500 online stores that compete with Zalando across 25 countries daily, ii) find exact product matches between the Zalando assortment and these stores, and iii) enable actionable intelligence based on the data.
You and your team will utilize innovative technology at scale to i) discover new articles that become available on competitor websites, ii) build a scalable system to scrape important information from these discovered pages on a daily basis, and iii) transform this data and share it with other teams in the company.
You will create a tremendous impact on our 42+ million active customers by offering attractive offers in comparison to offers offered by competitor stores. The Market Insights project will impact over 550 Zalando employees by providing insight dashboards that highlight what’s happening in various European fashion shops.
