In this highly visible role in Workday's extraordinary Product team, you will define, plan, and execute on a clear strategy for a unified adoption experience. You will drive the collection of requirements and industry trends to support product strategy. Work will be done in an agile environment in partnership with our Design, Quality, and Software Engineering leaders. You will collaborate with data scientists to extend the depth and breadth of adoption data. The role requires a keen focus on user-centric design, feedback, user research, and well-honed judgment to prioritize on delighting end users and driving value realization. The ability to influence without authority within a highly matrixed environment and a passion for continuous improvement will be instrumental to success.
Responsibilities:
- Own the design and delivery of the next generation of our existing Adoption Analytics & Adoption Planning capabilities.
- Work with your Product Management team to identify, specify, and prioritize features and capabilities through direct partnership with customers, analysts, developers, architects, and your knowledge of the domain.
- Lead a Data Science team to surface relevant insights to deeply understand how our customers use Workday and enable more data driven decision making across the Product team.
- Develop frameworks to drive accountability across products to ensure adoption becomes a critical component of our design thinking, roadmap planning, and development processes from day one.
- Own the Product Catalog Application used internally to define our product taxonomy, establish granular targets for adoption, and connect feature adoption to value realization.
- Own customer billing activity reporting to enable support for new pricing structures, new products, and packaged solutions.
- Hire, retain and motivate a team of hardworking, critical-thinking, and productive people.
- This position reports to the VP, Product Adoption.
- 12+ years with a successful track record as an enterprise applications product manager or enterprise software developer.
- 5+ years of management experience building and leading teams with varied strengths.
- BA/BS in a computer science, business analytics, economics, finance, or equivalent.
- History of efficiently handling the entire product lifecycle: defining business problems, researching user needs, prototyping and testing new solutions, collaborating with design and engineering teams, and prioritizing an Agile development backlog.
- Deep knowledge of enterprise applications, including analytics, planning, and/or financial management and supporting business processes.
- Proven success using both quantitative insights from user data (the ‘what’) and qualitative insights derived from other internal and external sources (the ‘why’).
- An inherently collaborative style that enables you to win the hearts and minds of your peers to deliver on a sophisticated product roadmap, with execution often happening across teams.
- Excellent communications and influencing skills across all levels of a large organization, as well as with customers and partners.
- Ability to recruit, empower, and develop a diverse team and establish clear ownership and definition of success.
- Understanding of React, machine learning, and other cutting edge technologies.
- An MBA or Master’s degree is a plus.
