The Western Europe Technology Group is responsible for the implementation and the management of processes, procedures and controls relating to the oversight and measurement of IT activities whether on-site or outsourced to internal affiliates and external parties. Within this group we are creating a Transformation Team that will be dedicated to the design, development and delivery of strategic Data automation and MIS solutions, with the ultimate goal of creating and delivering an enterprise class Data & Analytics platform facilitating unrefined inbound data, and refined outbound data servicing analytics UI’s for consumption by senior leaders within JPMC , enabling more actionable insights and strategic decision making.

Our business

The Western Europe team has responsibility for technology products and services both provided locally but delivered to users across all locations to support wholesale Banking financial services.  The team is part of the EMEA CIO hierarchy, which coordinates CIB Technology teams from branch locations and Legal Entities across the region.

Summary:

The team covers development support for in-house applications and administrative support for all local applications, including applications provided by external vendors. Key responsibilities include ensuring that applications satisfy JPMorgan’s Risk & Control and Cybersecurity policy requirements. Other activities include responding to queries arising from day-to-day application use and liaising with users during the development cycle (requirement definition, development, testing and implementation).

The team is also responsible for the implementation and the management of processes, procedures and controls relating to the oversight of technology functions both on-site and outsourced IT activities to internal JPMC and external parties. This role interacts closely with the lines of business, Global Technology Infrastructure (GTI), Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) Technology, Information Security Managers (ISM) and the Information Security Officer (ISO) and other stakeholders, to ensure compliance with IT related regulatory and legal requirements for the location and internal JPMC control policies

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • Experience in Data warehouse/big data technologies – one or more of (Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake , Hadoop).
  • Experience of data transformation, visualization and analysis tooling – one or more of (Qlikview, QlikSense, Tableau, Xceptor, Cognos, Pentaho, Alteryx).
  • Experience and understanding of Data Quality concepts.
  • Proficiency in one or more general purpose programming languages & frameworks:  SQL,  Core Java , Python, Scripting (Unix, Javascript), and Spring Framework.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration technologies (i.e. Maven, Jenkins, Sonar) and source control software such as GIT, Subversion
  • Working proficiency in developmental toolsets.
  • Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals.
