What You'll Do
Our Webex content team is searching for an experienced technical writer who flourishes with taking chances in a fast-paced environment. We build content that makes it easier for other people to do their job, and our suite of products help us make it happen.
- Create help content for our users using DITA-based authoring tools.
- Test and validate content while writing—put your user hat on and act like the first user!
- Partner with your product team to get details about the features.
- Identify the needs of target audiences, develop appropriate documentation strategy, and manage the execution of those concurrently.
- Follow our style, brand, and writing guidelines, with little guidance.
- Develop and improve upon existing processes.
- Consistently deliver your best quality content on time!
Who You'll Work With
You’ll be partnering with our global team of product managers, engineers, customer success, content strategists, information architects, graphic designers, and other technical writers.
- Strong technical skills and expertise within the networking environment.
- Strong ability to write clearly and succinctly in a way that encourages users to want to use our product and then makes sure that they’re able to do so easily.
- Experience in defining documentation strategy and leading a documentation project to a successful conclusion.
- Experience working in a continuous deployment and Agile environment where content needs to be updated regularly and rapidly.
- Experience creating structured and reusable content using DITA, XML, or HTML 5.
