We understand that, in order to continue to give our Shoppers the best experience and service through our digital channels (apps, websites and in-store digital), we need to ensure that Customer Experience is central to everything we do. We have an opportunity for a talented UX/UI Designer with a strong understanding of user experience and customer journey optimisation to join our UX Team.

This role provides an opportunity to work on some very impactful design projects aimed at delivering customer centric design as part of the Digital Product Team for Musgrave. Responsibilities include:

  • Deliver best in class user experience and interaction design for consumer facing digital projects across the Musgrave brand portfolio
  • Be the voice of the customer, identifying risks and advising on best practices when working cross-functionally
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Developers and Programme Teams to define project goals, customer journeys and possible solutions within operational and technical constraints
  • Investigate problems through in-depth customer interviews, prototype and usability tests, and quantitative analysis
  • Translate research findings into interface design solutions to be presented to and iterated with stakeholders
  • Collaborate with other designers iterating on Design Systems, and translating brand guidelines into intuitive and reusable components and patterns
  • Help progress and advocate for design across the business through keeping tabs on new trends and practices, understanding relevant technical developments (iOS and Android updates), and showing the impact of the work

You will need to have:

  • Relevant third level qualification in design, or relevant experience
  • 2-5 years of experience as a designer working on mobile or responsive website projects
  • Proficiency with interface design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD or similar
  • Proven experience creating high quality UI
  • Qualitative and Quantitative research and analysis
  • Strong knowledge of User Centred Design and familiarity with Service Design principles
  • Understanding and experience of accessibility concerns for interface design
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • Experience creating wireframes, prototypes, and documenting user flows and journeys (and know why and when to make them)

It would be a bonus if you have:

  • Experience working on eCommerce projects
  • A working knowledge of the principles and practicalities of building, using and iterating Design Systems
  • Good working knowledge of CSS, HTML and JavaScript
