UX Researcher/Designer

The role requires excellent organisation, and communication skills and a broad understanding of all aspects of user experience from research to concept validation, design and testing.
The successful candidate will be working within the wider digital product and performance teams, utilising agile and lean, evidence-based design methodologies. This role is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the next phase of our web and mobile experiences.

The focus of this role is to help research, develop, manage and deliver best in class user experience across all digital platforms (web, mobile and inflight).

This is a Fixed Term Contract of Employment.

Your role

  • Identifying Voice of Customer and Commercial Objectives and measures for projects to steer direction, and better customer interaction ensuring repeat purchases
  • Collaborate within the wider digital experience team during the recommendation and solution stage of all product design and development, identifying pain points and opportunity through qualitative and quantitative research methods
  • Planning and conducting user research, surveys, competitive benchmarking, and heuristic analysis
  • Delivering User Insights reports with clear recommended direction and actionable tasks to assist the development of ideas and concept through early prototyping, user testing and review
  • Using personas, scenarios, user tasks, wire-flows and prototypes (low fidelity)
  • Creating, managing, recruiting and running user testing and validation sessions on a monthly bases
  • Work closely with developers as they build and deliver solutions to market
  • Own the success or failure of your work. Analyse results retrospectively and initiate follow-on optimisation work

Your qualifications and key criteria

To be considered for the role of UX Researcher -Designer, candidates must meet the following:

  • At least 3 – 5 years proven experience in User Experience field
  • At least 2 years experience of recruiting participants, managing and running ethnographic or user research and insight projects, identifying objectives, moderating, reporting and recommended steer
  • Strong communication skills: ability to present in a concise and articulate manner to other stakeholders
  • Demonstration of user-centred-design, including prsonas, scenario creation, wireframing, prototyping, user-testing and reporting
  • A creative thinker, paired with a strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skillset; sound organisational, negotiating and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work independently or as a part of an inter-disciplinary team
  • Self-motivated, flexible and adaptable
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work closely with Designers, Product Owners and Developers
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Eligible to live and work in the EU
  • Hold a current unrestricted worldwide passport
  • Provide 2 verifiable references
  • Able to pass a strict airport security vetting procedure which includes a 5-year background check* or be in possession of a current airside pass for the airport this position is based in
  • Remote/hybrid working options available

*If you are a non-Irish Citizen, you will need to be in possession of a current police disclosure certificate from your home country. If you have lived outside the Republic of Ireland for more than 6 months you will also be required to hold a current police disclosure certificate from that country/countries
