As a UX Practice Leader you will be responsible for the User Experience Practice. An advocate for our customers and users, you will provide leadership for a team of talented UX professionals across domains. 

The UX Practice team builds the foundation behinds Novartis' products through end to end experiences. We are owners and advocates for the underlying innovative thinking through: Reusable design systems at scale that will follow brand guidelines and FDA Human guideline, utilize Novartis platforms and architecture, apply accessibility, and experience on Novartis infrastructure. These pieces are essential building blocks for delightful, scalable, safe, and adoptable experiences that impact our Patient, HCP, Patient across the company at scale. We are driving the pace of innovation across Novartis to deliver experiences at scale.

• Drive A cohesive user experience vision for a suite of Novartis internal UX Practice tools and services that support both specialized roles (e.g. Domain Focused, Business, and Brand). You will do so by, information discovery, multiple workshop facilitation, collaboration, business partnership, understanding architecture at scale
• Define a strategic roadmap for the future of UX Practice, while mitigating silos and imparting user-centered philosophy across the Novartis leadership team.
• Collaborate with business, SME, product managers, EDO, developers/engineers in product teams to conduct, strategy sessions, product vision / road map, research, workshop, ideation, design, and testing of new product concepts with UI designers
• Build empathy and be an advocate for our customers through participation in human-centered research and design
• Translate user needs, style guides, and requirements into elegant solutions for complex problems
• Leverage analytics tools to measure success, present opportunities, and support decision-making
• Utilize Product Setup: Lean, Agile, Scaled Agile methodologies
• Present research findings and design concepts to designers and product partners
• UX management / program management to be learned on the job within the UX Practice organization, driving programs and developing products
• Be a leader and mentor; you’ll challenge, grow and mentor designers and contribute to fostering a collaborative team spirit.

• 8-10 years' of experience with at least four years' of UX design experience with an exposure in designing complex solutions for complete digital environments.
• Proficiency in a variety of design tools such as Sketch, Illustrator, Photoshop, Axure, Invision, Creative Cloud, XD
• Has worked in multiple UX teams and has performed UX design role across various domains
• Built and lead a team of UX designers and has strong experience in user research, ideation, design and running design workshops.
• Has a recognized portfolio of assets
• Expertise in standard UX software such as Sketch, OmniGraffle, Axure, InVision, UXPin, Balsamiq, Framer, AdobeXD
• Good understanding on HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• Ability to understand detailed requirements and design complete user experiences
• Experience on user-centered design (UCD), planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, usability and accessibility concerns.
• Ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams and clients.
• Ability to work effectively in synthesizing abstract ideas into concrete design implications.
