About our design team
We are a highly focused design team, dedicated to the UX design of AWS Databases. Our portfolio includes RDS, DynamoDB, ElastiCache, QLDB, Keyspaces and Timestream. We support the AWS Database initiatives, work on team and personal growth goals and contribute to the AWS UX design organization. The team is a mix of experienced Amazonians and new members with startup and enterprise backgrounds.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Basic qualifications 4+ years of industry experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, information architect, or similar UX-related role.
  • An online portfolio UX work.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor or Master's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent degree. Experience with UX design of complex workflows for technical customers and/or experience in delivering design solutions for projects of large scope and complexity.
  • Experience in best practices for information architecture and design, as well as strong knowledge of usability principles and techniques.
  • Demonstrated history of acquiring user data (e.g., conducting usability studies, performing user research) and creating personas and journey maps.
  • Experience designing and prototyping with tools such as Figma, Sketch, InVision or similar.
  • Experience working in a collaborative, diverse team, working directly with product managers and developers for implementation of designs.
  • Strong verbal communication and presentation skills.
