Test Automation Engineer - Frontend

At HPE Pointnext R&D we are growing our software engineering team and we're looking for additional Frontend Test Automation Engineers to join us.

 

As a Test Automation Engineer you will work on our Entitlement platform which manages Assets and Contracts for HPE's customers. You will help to build the new Digital Customer Experience, a customer-centric support experience that will drive innovation and help our customers solve problems faster by accelerating access to information and expertise.

 

Role and Responsibilities:

  • You will work in an Agile software R&D engineering team automating the testing of solutions for customers in the area of Asset and Contract Management.
  • You will test software services and User Interfaces to deliver high quality products to our customers.
  • You will collaborate with engineers, architects, and product owners to understand product requirements and define what testing is needed.
  • You have a passion for technology and take pride in what you code.

This role has been designated as ‘Edge’, which means you will primarily work outside of an HPE office

Experience and skills:

  • 3+ years of experience in Test Automation including framework development, maintenance, automation planning and test execution.
  • Strong knowledge of frontend test automation using Selenium, Jest
  • Proven ability to implement test automation strategies and make effective use of test and defect management tools such as Rally.
  • Good understanding of CI/CD processes and tooling including Jenkins, GitHub.
  • Experience with performance/load testing
  • Knowledge of the Salesforce platform is desirable
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
  • Excellent communication skills in English, spoken and written

Education:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in software engineering, computer engineering or equivalent
