Systems Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced technology professional to help secure Fidelity’s Endpoint Computing environment. The successful candidate will possess expertise with end user compute operating environments ranging from traditional PC/laptops to servers, mobile devices, and SaaS platforms. The responsibilities of this role include working with our business partners to assess security gaps, recommend, build, and implement solutions for risk mitigation and optimise existing end user compute security tools and capabilities.

The successful candidate should have a strong background in systems engineering, integration, and familiarity with automation and cloud deployment.

The Expertise We’re Looking For

  • You care about doing excellent work with excellent people.
  • Proven experience in systems engineering with a focus on development and automation
  • Familiarity with security standards, controls, and architecture, along with application, server, database, and network infrastructure knowledge, in large-scale, enterprise-class contexts
  • Experience with software development and scripting to provide process automation, monitoring, and/or self-service capabilities
  • Experience with DevOps, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting tools such as Splunk, DataDog, AWS Cloudwatch would be an advantage. Similarly, experience with AWS services, IAM, networking and CloudFormation would be advantageous.

Enterprise Cybersecurity (ECS) is a central Information Security organization within Fidelity Investments serving the Enterprise as a whole. The scope of the ECS Endpoint Security team is to design, engineer, and implement various endpoint protection solutions to ensure that our partners in Cyber Operations have the right tools and capabilities to detect, prevent and respond to destructive cyber activity while keeping Fidelity’s computing environment secure.

The Skills You Bring

  • A track record of integrating and configuring SaaS based solutions
  • Extensive operating systems knowledge (Windows, Mac OS and Linux).
  • Solid understanding of networking, TCP/IP, and traffic routing.
  • Experience administering common security tools such as Endpoint Detection and Response, Anti-Malware, Firewall, Intrusion Prevention/Detection, Application Control, Vulnerability Management, or other risk mitigation solutions.
  • Familiarity with Agile / DevOps concepts and principles
  • Some experience automating using object-oriented languages such as Python, Java, PowerShell, and others.
