Our Financial Services Client has a great opportunity for a Systems Analyst to join their team.

The Systems Analyst is required to work on a range of projects, small changes and level 3 production support issues that make a real difference across all areas of the business.

Job Responsibilities

• Apply appropriate technical system solutions to business problems and opportunities
• Evaluate BRDs and define system requirements by performing functional analysis and design
• Documentation of required Functional specifications using the required standards, methods and tools
• Provide feedback on functional specifications produced by other SA team members
• Investigate/Analyse operational issues and problems, seeking effective business solutions through improvements in information systems, data management, processes/procedures, organisation and equipment by using model business processes (modelling from
  “As Is” to “To Be”), information flows, etc
• Liaise with the Development team on development required for project and small change items
• Liaise with the QA team on test cases required for project and small change items
• Triage technical application and system issues affecting the production environment, raised on the IT Helpdesk and handed off by the Service Delivery team
• Conduct an analysis to identify the root cause and to determine the most appropriate technical system solution
• Analyse change requests logged to determine the most appropriate solution
• Contributing to the creation of a culture of risk awareness and the highest standards of corporate governance
• Assess operational risks associated with day -day activities and implement risk mitigation controls as necessary

Experience Required

• At least 3-5 years’ experience in Application Support and Development (SDLC) in Financial Services
• Qualification in relevant frameworks (ITIL, BA and testing certs)
• Demonstrated experience in analysing business requirements, designing technical solutions, and writing functional specifications

Educational Requirements

• Relevant third level degree qualification in IT or equivalent
