A day in the life

As a TPM in Security you will be responsible for a set of long-term security outcomes. No day will be the same as the days preceding or following, rather every day will present exciting new challenges and opportunities to lead others through ambiguity in pursuit of ambitious goals.

About the hiring group

At Amazon, Security is our highest priority. The "Secure All the Things" (SAT2) team is responsible for defining and driving large initiatives that raise the security bar for Amazon. Our team drives large scale, long-term programs across all the organization. We focus on the really big initiatives, that require new-thinking, innovative solutions, and culture changes.

Job responsibilities

In this role, you will own the strategy and successful tactical delivery of one or more security expectation programs. You will engage with teams across the organization to initiate refinement and deployment of security solutions, identify anomaly use cases, make trade-off decisions, develop and drive project schedules, remove blockers, establish mechanisms and metrics to drive and track adoption, and deliver results.

You must be comfortable developing and driving high-level strategic initiatives, leading matrixed teams across the globe and developing other leaders, possess the ability to facilitate technical whiteboard sessions to troubleshoot technical issues and adapt solutions for anomaly use cases, and remove barriers to project success. You will establish trust with a variety of stakeholders across multiple time zones, manage escalations, eliminate non-value-add activity, and find creative ways to accelerate program execution, while continuously looking for ways to reduce impact on service teams.

The ideal candidate will embrace and inspire innovation, exercise strong judgment and negotiation skills, possess the ability to influence without authority, thrive in an entrepreneurial and fast-paced environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities.

If you meet these qualifications, exude passion, and enjoy the challenges of deploying highly technical and innovative programs at massive scale, this job is for you!
