About the Role
- Actively support Workday SaaS service in Multi-Cloud environment.
- Work as a member of a global team, managing large 24 x 7 Infrastructure platforms across Datacenters worldwide.
- Optimally deploy systems in an automated and scalable manner.
- Ensure that systems are patched consistently throughout their lifecycle to remediate Security Vulnerabilities.
- Work closely with operation teams, architects and application teams to deliver various projects
- Proficient in Linux administration and troubleshooting
- 7+ years' hands on experience with different Linux platform like RedHat/CentOS/Ubuntu/Amazon Linux
- 5+ years' experience in developing, building and managing large scale Linux/Unix-based systems in a production enterprise environment
- 3+ years' experience of building tools to optimize server provisioning and patch
- 2+ years' experience in automating system administration tasks using Ansible/Chef/Salt
Other Qualifications
- BS Technical degree or work experience equivalent
- Able to thrive in a fast paced, high energy and fun work environment
- Linux Operating System image build expertise is preferred
- Understanding of Infrastructure As Code methodology
- Mastery in Automation using at least one of the following Perl/Python/Ruby will be preferred
- Experience in automating large-scale deployments with modern system configuration management tools (Chef, Puppet, CFEngine etc) is desirable.
- Familiar with Repository using Github, Gitlab, JFrog or Bitbucket
- Preferable to have a working experience in a large Openstack or Kubernetes Infrastructure
- Solid grasp of all layers of the TCP/IP stack and common Internet services/protocols such as SMTP, DNS, LDAP, NTP, HTTP.
- Networking fundamentals including switching, routing, firewall, DNS, subnetting
- Sophisticated skill in communications and leading teams in a highly matrixed environment, demonstrated ability to collaborate across groups and organizations
