Sr. Developer Advocate/Evangelist - MuleSoft

MuleSoft is seeking a creative and passionate Developer Advocate to arm our global community with knowledge, resources, and inspirations. You will connect with developers from the world’s leading companies, empower them to solve cutting-edge problems with the latest technologies, and represent their point of view internally. You will build demos, create content, and evangelize MuleSoft online as well as in-person. We have ambitious goals for our developer program, and you will be supported accordingly by teams across MuleSoft - Engineering, Product, and Marketing.

Sample Deliverables:

First 30 Days

  • Gain a deep understanding of MuleSoft’s product
  • Build relationships with key members of the MuleSoft Developer Community
  • Partnering across functions (PM, engineering, marketing), identify opportunities to improve the developer experience 

First 60 Days

  • Initiate a blog/screencast series based on a technical theme of interest to the community
  • Propose new programs to improve the developer experience, grow the community, and increase engagement

First 90 Days

  • Kick off new programs, gather data, and adjust as necessary
  • Speak and perform a demo at your first meetup

About You:

  • You are an experienced developer, with a strong interest to learn new languages and frameworks as needed.
  • Even though you may not have the words “evangelist” or “advocate” in your title currently, you are a natural teacher and inspired by helping developers solve hard challenges.
  • You have likely published technical content  and/or tutorials for your company or personal channels
  • You are energized by being involved with a community - local, technical, or virtual, you love engaging with different tribes and investing your energy to strengthen them
  • You have experience as a Java developer and/or experience working with integrations; an understanding of the MuleSoft developer is key
  • You have ambitious ideas and want to share them with others. You can easily communicate your ideas through code, writing, presentations, demos, whiteboard sessions.
