The successful candidate will join Deloitte as a member of the Cloud Engineering team and will have the opportunity to work in a fast growing and challenging environment with like-minded people who are eminent in their respective technical field.

About this role:

• You will troubleshoot and resolve customer incidents remotely (chat, e-mail or phone)
• Troubleshoot events raised by our next generation monitoring
• Run daily checks and monitor our customer’s infrastructure 
• Work on service requests and small projects

Knowledge and skills required:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• 3+ Microsoft SQL Server experience – focusing in the Database Administration
• Troubleshoot, identify and resolve high priority issues in real time under pressure
• Exceptional communication skills both oral and written

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Strong customer focus and ability to work with a wide range of customer teams, technologies and system models (web services, database, batch, monolithic, event driven, big data, COTS)
• Be well versed in IT first level support, preferably Database Services, cloud solution and related technologies and their interdependencies
• Problem Solving skills and ability to troubleshoot in a complex and technology diverse environment
• Ability to prioritize tasks, high organizational skills, good time management skills
• Flexibility in working with multiple environments and different clients
• Experience in Performance Tuning and system Optimization
• Understanding SSRS, SSIS and SSAS
• Experience in Legacy SQL Servers as well as most recent releases
• Unix, Linux or alternatively windows support experience – as an advantage
• Network support experience (TCP/IP, DNS) – as an advantage
• Experience in ITIL based environments or Knowledge of ITIL / ISO 20000
• Collaborate as part of larger delivery teams which may include project managers, business analysts, architects, developers, and change management professionals
• Capture and communicate technical information clearly and concisely to audiences with a wide level of competencies.
• 1+ years support, troubleshooting and handling service requests in Relational Database Management System
• Experience in High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) in SQL Server
• Understanding of security principles, risk assessment and mitigation
• Product knowledge and understanding of product features including:
• IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS
• Coding experience is an advantage
• MySQL experience is an advantage
• Oracle experience is an advantage
