My Dublin-based client is looking for a Solutions Architect to join their well-established team. The company is at the very start of its DevOps journey and is seeking an experienced Software Developer to lead the successful development and implementation of DevOps solutions and processes.
The suitable candidate will be a highly skilled Software Developer (ideally Java) with hands-on experience implementing DevOps within an organisation.
Job Responsibilities
- Spearhead the development, implementation, and enhancement of the company’s DevOps offering.
- Provide strategic direction to shape the delivery of cloud-based DevOps technologies, processes, and best practices.
- Lead by example, contributing to the hands-on execution, monitoring, automation, and streamlining of the DevOps platform.
- Be a subject matter expert for DevOps, providing technical expertise and mentoring other developers.
Experience Required
- 7+ years’ experience in software development and solutions architecture (preferably using Java as a main language)
- Hands-on experience implementing DevOps within an organisation
- Strong knowledge of cloud architecture and technologies (Azure / AWS)
- Comfortable performing both strategic and hands-on development responsibilities
Essential and Desirable Skills
- Strong development / programming skills, including Java
- Cloud solutions: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- CI/CD principles
- Containers: Kubernetes, Docker Swarm
- Java test frameworks, JUnit, JMeter, Serenity
- Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, MSBuild
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communications skills

- Third level qualification in Computer Science, or related discipline
