THE OPPORTUNITY
This position requires a strong background in enterprise & project IT infrastructure engineering. The role comes with an opportunity to learn new technologies and tools and the ability to work closely with a diverse Global Engineering team. You will work with all supplier IT Teams for the enablement of the project to ensure a successful deployment of IT infrastructure for major projects within the Assisted and Automated Driving division of Jaguar Land Rover.
WHAT TO EXPECT
You will be accountable for the development and enhancement of platform security and security practices, and work with all internal teams and commodities to enable infrastructure solutions for software deployment. You will be responsible for maintaining and improving cloud compute costs, and you will work with product teams to ensure systems are secure, scalable and reliable. You will review IT deployment and operational environments, troubleshoot issues and managing technical operations, and work as part of a Global Site Reliability Engineering team to ensure platforms are effectively supported and monitored. You will be responsible for driving initiatives to automate processes and reduce toil, and for the development and implementation of Identity Access Management. You will understand and develop a project Infrastructure solution in line with Enterprise Arch Soln, IT Supplier Assurance, Integration & API's, Architecture Design Authority, Security and Data compliance.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
You will have a strong knowledge of operating enterprise scale production systems alongside monitoring and telemetry practices and experience with containers and orchestration frameworks. You will have an expertise in networking and security concepts, technologies, and protocols, and a passion for modern high-quality software engineering and DevOps practices. Strong knowledge of infrastructure provisioning tools e.g. Terraform, Ansible will also be required. You will also be required to Coach others in:
