Software Engineering Manager

Pointnext is the services arm of HPE. Pointnext R&D is that organization R&D function. It is chartered with digitally transforming how services will be delivered to customer by our service agents and certified partners. A key element of this digital transformation is the R&D of AI and ML based solution. 


This role will manage a suite of globally distributed scrum teams to deliver machine learning based solutions within Pointnext overall digital transformation.

It will require strong communication skills. You will work daily with executive management, Product Managers, Product Owners, Release Train Engineers, Solution Managers and Solution Train Engineers to deliver AI based solutions. The role will entail integrating such solutions with other subsystems our our transformation including case management, a suite of 'know the customer' components, parts replacement logistics, unified search and other emergent areas. It will require the fostering of Machine Learning and Data Science practices and the development of a suite of ML models, each of which will require continuous cultivation.


The ability to absorb and analyse large volumes of dates and make impactful recommendation is critical in this role.

Education and Experience Required:

  • First level university degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Advanced university degree preferred.
  • Typically 10-12 or more years of related work experience, including 5 or more years of people management experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Advanced leadership skills, including coaching, teambuilding, conflict resolution, and management.
  • Advanced agile and lean project management skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
