Build new and extend existing systems and functionality in Zendesk Sell
Participate and lead in all stages of development life-cycle from design to implementation, testing and maintaining performance for critical features
Champion code ownership, standard methodologies, high quality code to ensure reliability and stability are kept front-of-mind.
Have real impact on Zendesk Sell and other products of Zendesk
Required
2+ years of experience in web development, Ruby / Rails or similar
Experience with relational databases such as MySQL, Aurora.
Experience with managing and building APIs
Experience with analysis and log tooling like Datadog or similar
Empathy and strong communication skills. You can explain your views well to others and just as important, listen actively to others.
Preferred
Experience with front-end frameworks, especially React, TypeScript.
Experience with distributed systems using Kafka or similar.
Prior experience leading, mentoring, and supporting more junior engineers.
High customer empathy and focus on the value delivered to our customers.
