• Developing tools to improve the asset management and tracking software applications
• Automating the onboarding of application development teams to SAST DAST and IAST scanning tools
• Adhering to secure coding practices, following key engineering principles
• Ensuring a high level of internal customer engagement through solicitation of feedback and transparency
• Driving increased productivity through operation process excellent and automation of security technologies
• Demonstrating a strong sense of urgency and a holistic view to balance both breadth and depth of knowledge and continuous improvement throughout the organization
• Building strong relationships and collaborating with senior technology leaders and Optum product owners to improve the application security technologies that integrate well into their established tolls, workflows, and practices.

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
• Demonstrable experience working within a software-development environment
• Working knowledge of the full software lifecycle
• Professional experience with one or more of the following: Python, Node, Express, Java, .NET

Preferred Qualifications:

• Understanding of Continuous Integration and Delivery tools such as Jenkins, GitLab or Azure DevOps
• Team player, keen to collaborate and influence others in a matric reporting relationship
• Strong knowledge of engineering principles, including quality focus, innovation, and the simplicity of modularization
• Familiar with application security scanning tools, including Static Application Security Testing, Dynamic Application Security Testing and Interactive Application Security Testing
• Knowledgeable with secure coding principles and practices
• Demonstrated ability to learn and apply new skills, including programming languages, frameworks, and tools.
