Software Engineer

This is an opportunity for a highly motivated Software Engineer to work in one of the most strategic programs in Fidelity which is a key driver of Fidelity’s future success.

The Expertise We’re Looking For

  • You care about doing excellent work with excellent people.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent from an accredited college/university.
  • 2 years of design & development experience is desirable.
  • Desired skillset Java, Spring, RESTful services, myBatis or similar and relational Databases such as Oracle.
  • We would love it if you have some Oracle PL/SQL skills but don’t worry if you don’t
  • Understanding of Continuous Integration practices and automated deployment tools.
  • Experience with Test Automation Tools and Frameworks e.g. Cucumber, Spock
  • Experience of working with a distributed team.
  • Investment Management business acumen is desirable

The Purpose of Your Role

The successful candidate will be a member of a team that are at the forefront of engineering in Asset Management Technology with a high level of focus on practices such as TDD, ATDD, Continuous Integration/Delivery and engineering excellence.  We seek an engineer who is versatile, always eager to tackle new problems and continue to push technology forward. This position is intended for an individual contributor who has strong engagement skills, the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional Agile scrum team and ideally has knowledge of the investment management industry.

  • Provide 3rd level production support when necessary
