Software Engineer II

Role Description:

  • Software Engineer, responsible for developing, enhancing, modifying and/or maintaining applications (primarily through Axiom) in the Global Markets environment.
  • Ensuring that systems and applications support confirm to business needs and specifications. Collaborating with software testers to develop valid test plans and test scripts
  • Develop new features in our strategic platforms. 
  • In addition, you may occasionally be providing third level support for the applications.
  • You will also be expected to gain an understanding of the business data domain and perform analysis when necessary.

The Team:

The team provides global technology solutions for core finance functions such as general ledger, accounts payable, fixed assets, client profitability, corporate tax, planning/forecasting, funds transfer pricing, and regulatory reporting. The team and its business partners are located throughout the world.

The Software Engineer will join the Finance Technology team, based in Dublin with a proven track record working on large scale multi-year enterprise technology programs/projects. This position is for an experienced software engineer with a strong ability to build business-critical systems with a keen eye on stability and performance.

You will be working on delivering a strategic technology platform which has an exciting roadmap of future enhancements.

  • Master’s degree required. 
  • Extensive experience with Axiom technologies.
  • Experience with Database (Oracle & SQL Server) and writing MySQL or PLSQL queries
  • Quick learner and self-starter who requires minimal supervision to excel in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent communication skills. Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals
  • Microsoft Suite-Excel, Word, Power point
  • Good team player
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to details
  • Fluency in English
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • High degree of initiative and motivation
  • Quick learner and interest in taking on new responsibilities
  • Comfortable with change and adjust to changing demands and requirements
