Software Development Manager

About the Role

We are currently recruiting a Software Engineering Manager to lead one of our teams working in our Data Conversion and Loading space. People are our number one priority and in this role you will lead people through their daily activities with a view to marrying a person’s career objectives with our business objectives. As a manager in Workday, you are primarily responsible for the experience of those that report to you.

Daily, this role will require you to facilitate technical discussions with the expectation that you can relay and represent the team and their work to both technical and business collaborators. You will work closely with product managers to understand the business value of roadmap items and prioritise work for the team based on that value. A collaborative approach to delivery will be needed ensuring you use data to drive decisions which improve processes for your team and across the department.

Outside of team involvement you will be encouraged to lead and contribute to initiatives at a department and possibly larger organisation/site level. These initiatives are broad in scope and are required to make sure we evolve our processes, activities and general ways of working within our department and the larger Workday ecosystem.
