The Amazonian Benefits team is responsible for designing and building distributed, scalable, flexible and extensible products and services on AWS infrastructure. The Benefits org will deliver solutions that enables Amazonians to have timely, relevant, and accurate information in managing their Health, Financial, and Work Life benefits including those “moments that matter” life events.
The Benefits Technology suite of products enables rapid business changes, expansions and changing dynamics of Amazon’s workforce. This product is built to satisfy unique employee and evolving regulatory needs at the city, county, state and national level. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
· 7+ years of experience working directly within engineering teams
· Experience partnering with product OR program management teams
· 3+ years of people management experience, managing engineers
· 3+ years of architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) experience of new and current systems
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Experience managing engineers across multiple locations
· Track record of building and delivering critical, 24x7 production systems
· Experience with Amazon Web Services
· Deep understanding of enterprise systems and data integration
· Deep understanding of agile project management methodologies
· Experience writing production code
· Experience with global technology implementation efforts
· Experience with software quality assurance and performance testing
