The Role

  • Galway (3 days onsite and 2 days remote)
  • Permanent or Contract

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Equipment Engineering department to develop new manufacturing and test equipment and systems used in the development and production of medical devices.
You will work on areas such as specification development and the design and development of complex manufacturing and test equipment.
Database design, development, monitoring and SQL script authoring will form a key part of the role.
The role will work with both internal and external stakeholders and define system requirements and build effective solutions while contributing to all phases of the software development life cycle.

Person Brief

Candidates must have a B.Sc. degree in Computer Science / Engineering or equivalent, with emphasis in software development with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in industry. While regulated industry experience is an advantage, any technically focused industry experience will be considered The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and strong problem solving skills.

  • 5+ years Industry experience in one of more of the following higher level coding languages is essential
    • VB
    • .Net
    • C#
    • SQL Server
  • SQL server reporting services experience with some web app development experience is HTML, JavaScript and WPF desirable
  • Experience with Team Foundation server and the associated build process
  • Automation Testing experience with knowledge of testing lifecycles and principles
  • While some experience in a regulated environment and 21CFR Part 11 experience are advantageous they are not essential
  • A relevant Computer Science / Engineering related Degree qualification
