Software Architect

Our client is a rapidly expanding USA FinTech software company in the Tipp/Limerick region.  This is a permanent role offering an upper quartile salary plus full benefit package.

You will be responsible for architecture design for core payments systems, addressing security, availability, scalability and reliability concerns of the system. You will design   management solutions (using Apigee) to include API proxies, traffic management, security, analytics and developer portals. You will support and influence selection and adoption of core technologies, development tools and standards in conjunction with the Senior Architect, Directors and Senior Engineering Managers.

You will be a key contributor to defining and governing architecture standards and you will partner with developers, analysts, and tech leads across the enterprise, to identify business needs and appropriate technical solutions. Your role will involve communication and stakeholder management of technology and business stakeholders and you will be working with Scrum teams to provide technical guidance and support.

profile:

You have excellent written and spoken communication skills and you have at least 8 years experience in software development, with at least 2 years in an architecture role. You have a deep understanding of the full software development lifecycle coupled with a strong understanding of business challenges around delivery of Digital solutions at pace within a large organisation. You have a proven ability to translate and articulate business requirements in terms appropriate to the audience; ability to determine the best technical solution to meet a business outcome.

You are confident of your ability to derive architecture and design specs from the user base and you have experience of Micro Services, API Adoption and Cloud Stacks.

Desirable skills include:

  • Apigee (Apigee Studio, Dev Portal and API Publishing);
  • Experience of SSO, OAUTH, Swagger, Swagger UI, SAML, RAM;
  • Experience of working on enterprise scale financial systems.
