Senior Software Test Manager - Automation

About The Opportunity

The Contact Center (CC) quality assurance team in Galway is looking for a Senior Test Engineer to assess software quality through writing and updating automated system tests in a DevOps environment to support BDD. The team is looking for a strong and customer focused engineer with extensive automation and test engineering skills.

About The Responsibilities

• Enhance, implement, and develop automated test strategies/frameworks in DevOps environment for microservice applications on Kubernetes/Public cloud to support Behavior Driven Development using Cucumber and tools like Selenium, TestNG, Jenkins.
• Design and create automated test scripts to address areas such as database impacts, solution scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, outage scenario, error or bug retests, or usability in preparation for implementation.
• Estimate and plan accurately and evaluate cost of quality. Co-ordinate with team members for work activities involving test strategies and test plan.
• Understand the product requirements; envision stakeholder requirements to transform these to Use cases and create test plans.
• Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
• Setup lab infrastructure for multiple test configurations.

About The Requirements

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

• Ability to create scripts beyond record and playback using Webservices, API’s and Selenium with JAVA. Specifically developing functions, adding control flow logic, running scripts in CI/CD pipeline etc.
• Experienced in working on an Agile release and is aware of agile ceremonies, user stories, story points etc.
• Familiarity with complex automated system and project management life cycle practices/tools
• Working knowledge of test management software (e.g. JIRA), source control systems (e.g. GIT, Bitbucket), build management tools (e.g. Maven, Bamboo, JENKINS)
• Analytical mind, problem-solving aptitude, and strong troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English language.

• Knowledge on Contact Centre applications will be added advantage.
• Knowledge of performance testing and tools like JMeter will be added advantage.

Education

Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in Engineering or Computer Science

Advance Degree preferred
