Senior Software Engineer – Front End

Strategic Advisors Technology (SAT) is looking for a UI focused Senior Software Engineer to work in one of the most strategic programs in Fidelity which is a key driver of Fidelity’s future success. We are looking for an individual who continually strives to advance engineering excellence and innovation.

The Role

You will actively contribute to the design and development of the code base while collaborating with multi- discipline team members and customers.  You’ll use your critical thinking skills to translate storyboards and use cases into applications that give Fidelity a strategic edge.

The position aligns to the Strategic Advisors Technology domain within Asset Management Technology (AMT) which provides technology and support for the Account and Model Management tribes. This technology platform is the foundation for the next generation of applications required to support our business partners as they look to manage client portfolios and investments at scale.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring (The order of these bullets does not matter)

• Flair for writing clean, testable, readable, and easily maintainable code.
• Experience with the client-side tech stack: HTML, CSS/SCSS and JavaScript.
• Experience using Angular or similar JavaScript frameworks, e.g. React, Vue, Ember. (We use Angular)
• Experience with NgRx, Redux or other state management libraries desirable
• Experience in consuming and supporting the design of RESTful APIs
• You can deliver maintainable, extensible, easily usable and performant solutions.
• You understand how to operate in an Agile environment and be an effective member of a team.
• Experience working in an Agile software delivery environment, with exposure to continuous integration and continuous delivery tools.
• You understand how to deliver using an Acceptance Test-Driven development (ATDD) approach and you utilize automated test techniques to deliver solutions.
• Experience in any of the following desirable: developing backend code in Java stack; working with, and advancing, CI/CD practices in an AWS environment
• You identify bottlenecks and bugs, and work to solve them.
• You are committed to collaborative problem solving and communication.

• You will fully engage in product quality plan efforts, including test case development, design and code reviews and regression testing.

• You will engage with a global team of developers in pushing best practices for software engineering.
