Our Technology Stack 

You’ll get to use lots of great tools to help us maintain product quality and team productivity.  

• Our core languages are Java and TypeScript for our product apps and Python for our machine learning engine
  We also use everything from SonarCloud for code quality, Jenkins for build integrity, Spring, React 16.8, TypeScript and Material UI, AWS for hosting in the cloud
• We also use TensorFlow and Keras for our deep learning modelling and Flask for model deployment.

What you’ll be helping us with

As our Senior UI Engineer, you're given a real chance to influence the UI direction of the product. And you get to see your code go to production frequently, thanks to our SaaS model and continuous deployment practices.

You’ll be given the freedom to fully own UI features, from design to deployment (Either as part of the team or on your own). This means your code contributions make a real difference

Here you’ll help us build and design UI product features

• You'll build new features in the latest version of React (16.8), TypeScript and Material UI
• You'll also be heavily involved in the migration of remaining legacy AngularJS code to React
• And you’ll be helping us apply best practice UI.

We’re a highly collaborative, consensus-driven team. 

• You’ll partner with our Scrum teams working through the design of new features.
• You’ll be proposing or discussing alternative solutions, making sure dependencies are considered.

Writing clean, high-performance code is our passion. 

• You’ll write unit tests
• You’ll also partner with our QA Engineers to drive the quality and performance of your code.
• And you’ll conduct code reviews giving guidance and advice to continually improve the UI

What will you need to be successful in this role?

To be successful in the role you’ll; 

• Bring a minimum of 4-5+ years of UI experience
• Have worked with modern JavaScript frameworks - e.g., React or similar 
• Demonstrate experience interfacing with RESTful backend APIs, ideally in a Java environment
• Ideally have experience working in a SaaS or product company, but if not delivering software to enterprise customers is key
• Have experience in Agile software development methodologies.
