You will be responsible for:
- Be able to validate solutions using prototypes and proof of concepts.
- Develop platform capabilities to meet business requirements.
- Be responsible for determining the operational feasibility of proposed solutions.
- Be responsible for interviewing, recruiting, and hiring engineering teams as required.
- Provide advice and coaching to support and develop software engineers.
- Be able to make informed decisions quickly and take ownership.
- Work with the team to take advantage of new technologies and new concepts.
What do you need to succeed?
- 6+ years of experience developing commercial software with a focus on Infrastructure as code & DevOps Tools / BigData.
- Experience with large-scale, distributed systems using frameworks (Hadoop, Spark).
- Strong experience with one or more tools such as Salt, Chef, Ansible is desirable.
- Expertise in building cloud infrastructure with Terraform.
- Linux / Bash scripting.
- Experience developing CI/CD pipeline codes using Jerkins (groovy).
- Strong problem solving and root cause analysis skills.
- Understanding of revision control systems such as git.
- Strong experience in automated unit testing frameworks and monitoring applications
Desirable if you have...
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Packer, Java.
- Experience with interfacing with secret management tools such as Vault.
