About The Role:

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Internal Tools team, you will be helping Udemy simplify and integrate its business processes using Pega. We are a global business with millions of customers, ranging from consumers to large enterprises. Our internal tools are crucial to providing high-quality service to our learners, our instructors, and our administrators. 

We want to supply our internal teams – sales, support, finance – with high-quality and responsive tools to enable them to be effective. Some of these tools cover routine operations, such as managing course refunds or onboarding a new enterprise customer; while some cover extraordinary operations, such as responding to internal and external site outages. The business process work will be done in collaboration with other engineering teams that work in domains that include payments, application security and fraud.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement and maintain workflows using Pega
  • Integrate existing and new Udemy services into high-quality implementations
  • Help product owners in multiple groups work on as-is analysis as well as planning for to-be replacements
  • Work with engineers in engineering teams integrate their internal tools with Pega
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert on workflow and business process integration
  • Participate in code reviews and design discussions
  • Plan, organize, and ship features within agile sprints
  • Contribute to a team culture that values openness, inclusiveness, respect, quality, robustness, scalability, and humility while fostering innovation

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience with Pega Platform, especially case management and business process workflows
  • Strong understanding of BPM methodologies and techniques
  • Experience using Pega debugging and profiling tools
  • Experience with web application technologies including HTTP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

Nice to have:

  • Pega Academy certificate such as CSA, CSSA or LSA
  • Experience with modern JavaScript libraries/frameworks
  • Experience writing and maintaining unit and integration test suites
  • Experience with Zendesk, Salesforce and payment systems
  • Experience with SQL
